About NDIS pricing

The NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL) are updated annually by the NDIA. These rates are maximum limits — providers may charge less. The 2025–26 rates first applied from 1 July 2025 and were updated on 24 November 2025 (the current version).

Key changes this year include a 3.95% increase for support worker and Level 1 coordination rates, national standardisation of therapy rates (removing state-based differences), and the removal of the plan management setup fee.

NDIS pricing questions, answered

What is the NDIS support worker hourly rate for 2025–26?
The maximum weekday daytime rate for a standard support worker is $70.23 per hour. Loadings apply outside standard hours: weekday evening $77.38, Saturday $98.83, Sunday $127.43 and public holidays $156.03 per hour. High-intensity support starts at $75.98 weekday. These are price limits — providers may charge less.
How much is an NDIS sleepover or active overnight shift?
A sleepover (inactive overnight support) is a flat rate of about $297.60, which includes up to 2 hours of active support. Active overnight support — where the worker is awake and assisting — is billed at $78.81 per hour. Any active support beyond the first 2 hours of a sleepover is billed on top at the day’s applicable shift rate.
What is the NDIS behaviour support practitioner rate?
The maximum rate for a specialist behaviour support practitioner is $234.83 per hour in 2025–26. Provider travel is billable at 50% of the hourly rate up to the time caps. Behaviour support practitioners must be registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
What are the 2025–26 NDIS therapy rates?
From 1 July 2025 therapy rates are national (state-based pricing was removed): psychology $232.99/hr, occupational therapy $193.99/hr, speech pathology $193.99/hr, physiotherapy $183.99/hr, exercise physiology $166.99/hr and dietetics $188.99/hr. Therapist travel is billable at 50% of the hourly rate, up to 30 minutes each way (60 in remote areas).
How much can an NDIS plan manager charge?
Plan management is a fixed monthly fee of $104.45. The one-off establishment fee was removed from 1 July 2025 and there is no per-claim fee. Plan management is funded separately and does not reduce the rest of your plan budget.
Can an NDIS provider charge more than the price limit?
For agency-managed and plan-managed supports, no — the price limit is the maximum a provider can claim. Self-managed participants are not bound by the price limits and can agree their own prices with a provider. Providers can always charge less than the limit.
What are the NDIS support coordination rates for 2025–26?
Level 1 Support Connection is $80.06 per hour, Level 2 Coordination of Supports is $100.14 per hour, and Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination is $190.54 per hour in 2025–26.
