NDIS provider datasets
ProviderScout keeps a monthly copy of the NDIS Commission's public provider register and cross-references it against the providers we list from other public sources. Researchers, peak bodies, journalists and organisations ask us for that data, so here is what exists, what is free, and how to ask.
What we hold
Register expiry bands. Every Approved provider on the Commission register, grouped by when its period of registration ends, refreshed monthly. Published live on the registration check page.
Registration cross-reference. Our 9,507 independently sourced provider listings matched against the register, with match method and confidence, summarised by state and by advertised support. Method and caveats are in the 24 September data piece.
Provider counts by district and service. The counts behind the statistics hub: providers per NDIS service district, per registration group, per state.
ProviderScout does not hold participant data. Some business-level records can identify a sole trader or a named contact where a public register or a provider's own website publishes that information; those records are never included in anything we release, and aggregates are counts only.
Free: aggregates, with attribution
State, service, district and expiry-band counts are free as CSV for research, reporting and member communications. Attribute as ProviderScout, NDIS Commission register snapshot of [date] and link to the page you drew from. We usually send them within a business day.
On request: compiled extracts of company-level records
For organisations and researchers we can supply extracts of ProviderScout's compiled dataset limited to incorporated providers (companies, incorporated associations, councils and similar): register fields plus the website, business contact channels and services the provider publishes itself. Records that identify an individual or a sole trader are excluded, and no participant data exists in the set. Extracts are for internal use under licence: the licence covers ProviderScout's compilation and matching work and gives no right to resell, republish or represent the underlying NDIS Commission register or provider-published material as your own. A one-off state or service extract is AUD $490 and the national compiled set is AUD $1,900, delivered as CSV. GST is not charged because Jarrod Eaton is not registered for GST. Tell us the use and we will say plainly whether the data fits it; we would rather decline than sell an extract that does not answer the question.
Two things we do not supply: anything about participants, and dental or GP practice data from our sister directories. DentistScout data includes Google Places content, which Google's terms do not allow us to redistribute; GPScout's practice source data is Geoscience Australia open data under CC BY 4.0, which you can take directly from Geoscience Australia, following its attribution requirements.
