About Centre Care Disability Support Services

Centre Care is a Brisbane-based NDIS-registered provider committed to delivering personalised, compassionate support that empowers participants to live with dignity and independence. The team takes a person-centred approach, focusing on building genuine relationships and tailoring supports to each individual’s goals, preferences, and cultural background.

Centre Care is particularly passionate about supporting participants with complex needs and those who may have limited informal supports, ensuring they receive consistent, high-quality care. As a small and dedicated team, they pride themselves on being responsive, flexible, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of every participant they support.

Support is tailored to participants’ cultural, religious, and language needs, and Centre Care emphasises consistent staffing and responsive commencement of supports — the kind of operational reliability that matters most to participants and families navigating the NDIS.

Verified NDIS-registered provider — registration approved and in force until 5 September 2026. See the official NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission listing.

Services Centre Care provides

Centre Care delivers support across three core areas:

  • Daily living support — practical assistance with routines, tasks, and day-to-day independence.
  • Personal care — respectful support with hygiene, dressing, and personal routines.
  • Community access — supporting participants to engage with their community, pursue interests, and attend activities.

Services are delivered across Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast. In-person only — telehealth is not offered.

Understanding NDIS services under the NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme funds a wide range of supports across three budget categories. Core Supports cover daily living assistance, community participation, consumables, and transport. Capacity Building covers coordination, therapy services, employment support, and training for independence. Capital Supports cover assistive technology, equipment, home modifications, and Specialist Disability Accommodation.

Each provider registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission must meet specific practice standards, maintain appropriate insurance, and employ workers who have passed NDIS Worker Screening Checks. Registered providers can serve Agency-managed, plan-managed, and self-managed participants. Unregistered providers can only work with plan-managed and self-managed participants, but many offer excellent services and greater flexibility.

When comparing NDIS providers, consider their specialisation, location, availability, and communication style. Ask for references from other participants if possible, and don’t hesitate to request a trial period before committing to a service agreement. The NDIS is designed to give participants choice and control — exercising that choice starts with asking the right questions and understanding what each provider brings to the table.

Service agreements are not permanent. If you find that a provider isn’t meeting your needs, you can end the agreement and switch to another provider at any time. Keeping records of your interactions, invoices, and any issues that arise will make transitions smoother and provide useful evidence at your next plan review.

What to ask before choosing an NDIS provider

Before signing a service agreement with any NDIS provider, including Centre Care, it’s worth having a conversation about a few key things. What are the hourly rates, including loadings for evenings, weekends and public holidays? What cancellation fees apply, and what notice period do they require? Who will your regular support worker be, and what happens if they’re sick or on leave? How does the provider handle complaints? These questions are standard — any reputable provider will have clear answers.

If Centre Care is registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, they’re bound by the NDIS Code of Conduct and must meet service standards audited by approved quality auditors. This covers everything from worker screening to incident reporting. Unregistered providers can still be used by plan-managed and self-managed participants but aren’t subject to the same oversight.

It’s also worth understanding your service agreement before you sign it. The agreement should clearly state the supports being delivered, the price per hour or unit, any cancellation policy, how travel charges are handled, and how either party can end the agreement. Under the NDIS, you have the right to change providers at any time — you’re never locked in. If a provider’s service agreement doesn’t include a reasonable exit clause, that’s worth questioning.

If you’re unsure about any aspect of choosing a provider, your support coordinator or local area coordinator (LAC) can help. They can explain what to look for, accompany you to initial meetings, and assist with setting up service agreements that protect your interests. Keeping records of your interactions with providers — save invoices, note key conversations, and track whether the services delivered match what was agreed — will make plan reviews smoother and provide evidence if you ever need to raise a complaint.

NDIS supports in Logan & South East Queensland

The Logan service district covers suburbs across the southern Brisbane corridor, with a high concentration of participants receiving core daily-living and community supports. Centre Care’s service footprint extends across Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast — a region that includes some of the most culturally and linguistically diverse communities in Queensland.

Most participants in South East Queensland access a mix of services — commonly support worker, community access, and plan management. Travel between Logan, Ipswich and the Gold Coast is generally well covered by providers operating across multiple LGAs, and travel charges under the NDIS are capped and must be agreed in your service agreement before work begins.
