Physiotherapists also play a key role in equipment recommendations. If you need a wheelchair, standing frame, or other mobility aid, your physio’s assessment and prescription report form part of the funding application. They work alongside occupational therapists on complex equipment needs and can provide trial periods to ensure the equipment suits you before the NDIS commits to purchasing it.

Home visits allow the physiotherapist to assess your mobility and physical function in your actual living environment, identifying fall risks and recommending practical changes. Travel charges apply for home visits and must be agreed beforehand.
