Green and Gold Community Services
About Green and Gold Community Services
Green and Gold Community Services is a small O'Halloran Hill support-worker team covering southern Adelaide — Onkaparinga, Marion, Mitcham and Holdfast Bay — plus most of the Adelaide metro. The legal entity is GREENANDGOLDCOMMUNITYSERVICES PTY LTD (ABN 71 702 676 337), an Australian private company active since September 2026 and GST-registered since inception. The business reports that each of its four support workers — Jakob, Beau, Cameron and Lachlan — holds a Certificate III in Individual Support, First Aid and CPR, a cleared NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Working with Children Check and the NDIS Worker Orientation modules; those credentials are what the business advertises, not something ProviderScout has independently verified against the national screening database.
The service model is one-to-one weekly support with a worker matched to the participant's interests, with the same worker each week rather than a roster. The team also runs mentor-style after-school and after-work sessions for teenagers and adults, and shared-cost small groups of three to six people for things like coast walks, footy, bowling and jetty fishing.
Green and Gold Community Services takes NDIS referrals from self-managed and plan-managed participants. It is not currently registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and the business says so plainly on its own site. The Commission's rules on when registration is required cover the specific supports an unregistered provider cannot deliver — the right source is the Commission itself. For NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participants, an unregistered provider generally is not an option at all; which category you fall into is the thing to check before booking.
Services Green and Gold Community Services provides
The services below are the ones Green and Gold's own website describes as supports it delivers. Pricing is published as at or under the NDIS price limits in the current price arrangements; weekday evenings, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays attract the standard NDIS loadings. Availability can vary, so confirm directly that a specific support fits your plan.
- Personal care — showering, dressing, grooming and toileting; meals, eating and medication assistance; mornings, evenings and weekends, with overnight on request
- Health and fitness support — mentor-style after-school and after-work sessions (walks, gym, sport, swimming), with routine, motivation and goal-tracking, designed especially for teenagers and adults
- Community participation — one-to-one or small-group support to join a local group, course or job, or just to get out for a coffee; includes transport to appointments and activities
- Mentoring and life skills — a steady mentor working on individual goals including confidence, cooking, shopping, budgeting and learning public transport
- Around the home — cleaning and laundry, meal prep and shopping, gardening, mowing and tip runs, done with or for the participant
- Small groups — groups of three to six people with about one worker per three participants so the cost is shared; separate teen-only groups after school for ages 13 to 17
Unregistered NDIS providers — what that means for you
Green and Gold Community Services is not currently registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It is honest to say so plainly, because for some participants it matters and for others it does not.
If your plan is self-managed or plan-managed, you can engage an unregistered provider for most everyday supports, so long as the support is a reasonable and necessary use of your funding. There are supports that require Commission registration regardless of how your plan is managed; the NDIS Commission's own guidance on when registration is required is the right place to check, because the list changes over time and can carry transitional exceptions. If your plan is NDIA-managed, you generally need a registered provider to invoice the NDIA directly, so an unregistered support service is not usually an option at all.
Sort out the funding route before the first appointment, not after. The NDIS Code of Conduct applies to every NDIS provider, registered or not, and the Commission's complaints process is open to anyone who wants to raise concerns about an unregistered provider's conduct.
What to ask before choosing a support worker
Ask who your regular worker would be, what happens when that person is on leave, and how a swap is handled. For many participants, continuity with the same individual matters more than the organisation's size.
Ask how availability is confirmed, how last-minute cancellations are handled on both sides, and what happens if the match doesn't work.
Ask for a free meet-and-greet before committing. Green and Gold publishes team bios on their site so you can see which worker's interests overlap with yours before the first shift.
NDIS supports in Southern Adelaide
Green and Gold's business locus is O'Halloran Hill, in the City of Marion, which sits in the Southern Adelaide NDIS service district. Their service area covers Onkaparinga, Marion, Mitcham, Holdfast Bay and most of the Adelaide metro.
Comparing a few providers is worth the time, especially where the fit with the individual worker matters as much as the organisation.
