Nhanya Foundation
About Nhanya Foundation
Nhanya Foundation is a community-service organisation based in Werribee, Victoria, that also delivers NDIS-funded disability supports. The legal entity is Nhanya Foundation Ltd (ABN 42 690 605 102), an Australian public company limited by guarantee, active on the Australian Business Register since August 2025. The provider also runs charitable work alongside its NDIS services under separate funding.
In their own words: “We believe disability and allied health support is most effective when people feel safe, seen and heard. Our approach combines clinical quality with cultural safety.” The organisation's clinical occupational therapy team is led by Tina Arora, Clinical Team Leader and Senior Occupational Therapist, with more than twenty years of clinical experience.
Nhanya Foundation takes NDIS referrals from self-managed and plan-managed participants. It is not registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, which does not prevent it from supporting participants funded either of those ways — but an NDIA-managed (agency-managed) participant generally cannot use an unregistered provider. Which category you fall into is the thing to check before booking.
Alongside its NDIS work, Nhanya operates community programs for women, children and families under separate funding; those activities are not covered by this listing.

Unregistered NDIS providers โ what that means for you
Nhanya Foundation is not registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. It is honest to say so plainly, because for some participants it matters and for others it does not.
If your plan is self-managed, Nhanya invoices you directly and you claim the invoice through your plan. If your plan is plan-managed, Nhanya invoices your plan manager directly. If your plan is NDIA-managed, you generally need a registered provider to invoice the NDIA directly, so an unregistered organisation is not usually an option.
Sort out the funding route before the first appointment, not after.
What to ask before choosing an occupational therapist
Ask which therapist you would see and what happens if that person is away. Continuity matters a great deal in therapy, and it depends on the individual more than on the size of the organisation.
For reports, ask for a written quote that sets out the assessment's purpose, the estimated hours, travel and the report timeframe before you book.
For home visits, ask how travel time is charged and whether your suburb is inside their usual service area.
