What changed

  • Corrected 5 Oct 2026 Correction: the inducements ban starts 20 November. Last month's update gave 27 November, the date on the department's reform timeline; the Act's commencement table (item 9B) gives 20 November 2026 and the Federal Register of Legislation lists the same date, so the web edition was corrected on 5 October, and the timeline still read 27 November when we checked on 3 November.
